Each week their hens are moved to fresh pasture with free-range to roam and forage. At night they put themselves to bed in their ‘egg-mobile’, safe from predators and protected from the elements. The doors open automatically with the sunlight and they go about their days scratching and dust bathing, chasing flies and finding worms. They have the ability to express their most natural behaviour.
Pasture-raised birds get to supplement their diet with a plethora of fresh plant species which produces a nutritious egg with twice the vitamin E and omega 3 fats than that of conventionally raised laying hens.
